Born in Coimbra. After finishing the secondary school at Escola Secundária Quinta das Flores (Coimbra) moved to the University of Coimbra where attained the degree of Graduate in Sports Science (2004-2008) with the dissertation, "Comparison of the anaerobic threshold at 4 mmol.l-1 in Kayak and Kayak-ergometer". Later obtained the Master degree in Sports Science – Master Course in Youth Sports Training by the University of Coimbra (2011-2013) with the dissertation, “Analysis of the relationships between the anthropometric characteristics of young kayakers, the paddle set-up, and the performance”. Since then, has been involved with canoe sprint as a collaborator of the Portuguese Canoe Federation (2014-2019). Also, as a canoe sprint coach, in Clube Fluvial de Coimbra (2015-2019), and Associação Académica de Coimbra (2017-...), University Portuguese National Team (2018 and 2022) and Canoe Sprint Portuguese National Team (2022-...).

Highlighting the following results:

- University Portuguese National Team (World University Champioships 2022) - K4 Women 200m - 3rd place, K4 Men 200m - 2nd place, K2 Women 200m - 2nd place, K2 Men 200m - 3rd place, C1 Women 200m - 3rd place, K1 Men 200m - 1st place, K4 Men 500m - 2nd place, K2 Men 500m - 2nd place;

- Canoe Sprint Portuguese National Team (ICF Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships 2022) - C1 Jun Women 200m - 1st place; C1 Jun Women 1000m - 3rd place; C2 Jun Mixed 500m - 2nd place;

- Canoe Sprint Portuguese National Team (ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships 2022) - C1 Jun Women 200m - 2nd place; C1 Jun Women 500m - 2nd Place;

- University Sprint Canoe Team (2017; 2018; 2019; 2021; 2022) - National University Champions;

- Men's K1 Juniors (2019) - 3rd place Portuguese Canoe Sprint Cup ​​K1-200 m;

He is currently a invited assistant professor at the University of Coimbra, and is enrolled in Ph.D. studies.
